#MandelaLecture: The stellar line-up

Various dignitaries and highly placed officials are set to attend the 16th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture.

The "Mandela 100" lecture is the centrepiece of celebrations as it marks 100 years since the birth of the late former President Nelson Mandela.
Former US president Barack Obama will deliver a 45 minute speech to a crowd of 15,000 people at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

President Cyril Ramaphosa and Mandela's widow, Graça Machel will speak alongside Obama.
The former US statesman had previously credited Madiba for being one of his greatest inspirations and also addressed mourners during the public memorial after Madiba's death in 2013.
King Mswati III, Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi, former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan and former Prime Minister of Ireland Mary Robertson are some of the international leaders expected.

The lecture is expected to commence at 13h45 and end around 16h35 with a musical tribute by various artists including the Soweto Gospel Choir and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
