Mcebo Dlamini taken in for questioning

Student activist and one of the Fees Must Fall leaders, Mcebo Dlamini's legal team has confirmed that he was taken in for questioning this morning.

He was subsequently released.
Dlamini was taken from his residence at around 5.00am this morning.
Dlamini earlier sent out an SMS claiming he was arrested.
Dlamini is out on bail after he was arrested on charges including assault, damage to property and theft relating to violent protests at Wits.
He will be back in court on 15 June 2017, pending his application to the High Court to have the charges dropped.
Dlamini maintains that the charges against him are politically motivated.
