Authorities have extended their search to the Hartbeespoort Dam in their attempt to recover the body of the three year-old girl who was swept away by flash floods in Alexandra last week.

Gauteng MEC of Social Development Nandi Mayathula-Khoza visited the Chauke family, and says they are receiving trauma counselling.
"It's a couple in distress. They are waiting for the bones of the little baby to be found," says Mayathula-Khoza.
Mayathula-Khoza is visiting all the Gauteng families that have been affected by the flash floods.
The MEC says her team of social workers are working with the Provincial Disaster Management Team and have begun assessing the circumstances of families.
