Miner's body retrieved after Impala Mine shaft collapse

The body of one of two trapped miners at Impala Platinum Mine in Rustenburg, North West, has been recovered and brought to surface on Friday.
The company in a statement confirms the body of 40-year-old Tanki Samuel Lepitikoe was successfully recovered by mine rescue personnel.
Lepitikoe, originally from Lesotho, was employed as a rock drill operator with four years' service with the company.
Rescue efforts continue in an effort to find Ohemile Moses Maamogwa.
He has been missing since a shaft collapsed at the mine on Tuesday.
The 55-year-old is a rock drill operator with 31 years' service with the company.
"Our thoughts and prayers remain with all during this very difficult time," said the mine.
Seven others escaped the rock fall unharmed.
