The Health Ministry says no official NHI document has been released and the 'fake document' is meant to mislead the public.
Ministry of Health spokesperson, Dr Lwazi Manzi, says the origins of the circulating booklet is still unknown.
"We just wanted to categorially state there is no booklet currently out but it did go viral"
"There will be a booklet issued, but that will come with an official announcement and official launch. At this stage, the booklet is not known to us," adds Manzi.
Investigations are underway to determine the origin of the booklet.
The proposed NHI Bill was only introduced into parliament on August 8.
