Bianca Schoombee apologised after bigoted tweets - dating back to 2013 - were found on her Twitter account on Tuesday night.

In a statement on Wednesday, Miss SA said their rules state that no semi-finalist or finalist may have been involved in an unsavoury or unethical conduct.

But the organisers will only assess the entries once the deadline for submissions closes at the end of the month.

One person has come forward saying she knew Bianca in high school and alleged that she used the k-word back then.

Bianca has withdrawn from the pageant and has since deleted her Twitter account.

"I would like to profusely apologise for putting it out into the universe then. Being the person that I am today, I have now dealt with my past by praying," Bianca said.
