#MissSAChallenge: The plot twist
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
There is never a dull moment in South Africa.
Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has joined the Twitter reaction to her #MissSAChallenge, which asks South Africans to join her for a soup kitchen drive.
Nel-Peters came under fire after a picture of her wearing surgical gloves while posing with a black child went viral on social media.
She later apologised, saying every volunteer wore surgical gloves while preparing food for children.
Twitter users didn’t waste time posting funny pictures of themselves and others wearing gloves for ‘hygiene’ purposes, even when it’s clearly unnecessary.

But wait for it!
In the video, she blows a kiss with a disposable glove on.
