MKVA outside Luthuli House to 'protect the ANC'

Scores of uMkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKVA) have surrounded the ANC's headquarters at Luthuli House "to protect the party".

MKVA vowed earlier this week that it would be deploying over 600 of its members to protect Luthuli House over planned protests by South Africans, following President Jacob Zuma's cabinet reshuffle. .
MKMVA member Mabel Rweqane says President Zuma's promise to implement radical economic transformation is in accordance with resolutions made by the ANC at its conference in Mangaung in 2012.

MKMVA member Mabel Rweqane says President Zuma's promise to implement radical economic transformation is in accordance with resolutions made by the ANC at its conference in Mangaung in 2012..
"We are not only protecting Luthuli House but the resolutions made during Mangaung. The President is implementing exactly what we agreed upon," said Rweqane.
The ANC Youth League will also join the MKVA at Luthuli House, with the DA marching against President Zuma only a few blocks away.
