"He was apprehended this past weekend after he was found alone, hiding in a rondavel in West Bank, KwaZulu-Natal," Lt-Gen Solomon Makgale said.

"The 39-year-old fugitive has been on the run for 11 months," he said.

Men in a Volkswagen Golf followed Moepi into the parking lot at the Johannesburg offices of SizweNtsalubaGobodo in October last
year.
He was shot while getting out of his car.

In December, Remember Siphoro appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court in connection with the killing. He was denied
bail.

He will be joined in the dock by the man arrested at the weekend during his next appearance on November 17, said Makgale.

Police commissioner General Riah Phiyega praised the police for the arrest.

"We commend the good work of the police and the positive role of the community members that continues to be an important cog in our fight against crime," she said in a statement.

"This particular arrest is evidence that our partnership with our communities is growing stronger every day. We encourage law abiding citizens to continue to work with us through reporting
criminality."
