More SABC journalists fired

Trade union Solidarity has confirmed that two more SABC journalists have been fired.
Busisiwe Ntuli from Special Assignment and Lukhanyo Calata, a journalist from Cape Town, were fired on Tuesday.
Independent contractor Vuyo Mvoko's contract with the public broadcaster has not been renewed.
This brings the total to seven journalists sacked by the SABC.
Jacques Steenkamp, Suna Venter, Foeta Krige and Krivani Pillay were fired yesterday.
There has not been any confirmation from Thandeka Gqubule, who has reportedly also been let go.

The eight journalists, known as the SABC 8, were suspended by the SABC after questioning the editorial decision not to broadcast violent protests.
Solidarity's Dirk Herman said their terminations are unacceptable.
"It's not in line with the Labour Relations Act, it's not in line with any processes and Solidarity will this Thursday be in court on behalf of four of the journalists that have been fired," Herman said.
