More water constraints in Pretoria
Updated | By MornéJK
Residents of the eastern parts of Pretoria are experiencing water shortages following the 15% random restrictions that were imposed by Rand Water on the Parkmore High Reservoir.
The City of Tshwane released a statement confirming that there are water interruptions in different parts of the city, including the La Montagne area, and other past of the east.
City of Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo, however, says the water shortage in the La Montagne area is a result of a burst pipe and not water restrictions.

"Our plumbers had to stop working as a result of the rain last night. We need to replace the current - old - asbestos pipe with a steel one and it might take some time," Mashigo said.
Areas affected by the water restrictions:
- Garsfontein
- Pretorius Park
- Constantia Park
- Waterkloof Glen
- Moreleta Park
- Newlands
- De Beers
- Ashlea Gardens
- Pretoria East Hospital
- Woodhill
Residents are being urged to reduce their water consumption, especially when water starts to flow through the taps.
