Limpopo police are investigating a case of murder and inquest after a couple died in a suspected murder-suicide incident in Senwabarwana.
The 55-year-old paramedic allegedly shot and killed his 44-year-old wife on Sunday, who is also a paramedic.
The woman had a protection order against her husband.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says after the woman obtained a protection order, the husband reportedly decided to move out of the house to stay in a rented room in the area.
“It is alleged that the wife visited her husband at his rented room this morning at 6am. He allegedly took out a firearm and shot his wife and thereafter shot himself.”
Police officers found both bodies lying in a street with gunshot wounds.
