Mpumalanga crash claims 6 lives

The deceased include three children aged approximately between two and 13 years. The vehicle was travelling from KwaMhlanga to Emalahleni.

MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison in Mpumalanga, Gabisile Shabalala has reiterated her call to motorists to be extremely cautious following a head-on collision that claimed six lives on Friday. The six were declared dead at the scene.
The collision happened between two sedans on R544 Road between Emalahleni and Verena.
All the occupant's of the one vehicle died and they are believed to be from one family.

The cause of the collision has not yet been established.
Shabalala bemoaned that the roads are becoming more dangerous to travel on, especially at night, saying that this required more vigilance on the part of all road users.
"Let us all work together to bring to an end the misery and pain bought about by these horrific crashes. Let us work with government and outroot reckless driver behaviour in order to curb the needless loss of lives," said Shabalala.
