Mpumalanga residents warned of bogus learnerships
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety has warned aspiring traffic officials of fake learnerships doing the rounds.
The department’s spokesperson Moeti Mmusi says two residents recently pitched up at their offices for interviews after falling prey to the scam.
The department could not hold of the person who scheduled the interviews.
"The department would like to put it in record that it did not advertise any traffic learnerships and can therefore not invite people for interviews.
"Communities are therefore advised not fall prey to unscrupulous individuals who may mislead them by promising them non-existing learnerships in exchange for money.”
