Mthethwa threatens legal action over State Capture claims
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
Minister Nathi Mthethwa has consulted with his lawyers over the possibility to file defamation charages against whistle blower and former Crime intelligence officer, Dhanajaya Naidoo.
Naidoo testified at the Zondo Commission into State Capture this week that a slush fund of the Police's Crime Inteligence Unity funded thepurchase of a luxury SUV for Mthethwa in 2010 and also paid for the erection of a wall around the minister's private residence.
That was while Mthethwa was the Minister of Police.
He is currently the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture in the administration of President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Mthethwa's spokesperson, Asanda Magaqa, says these allegations have long surfaced in the media and were investigated in 2012.
