Muthambi brands Phumla Williams a ‘manipulator and liar’

Controversial former minister of communications, Faith Muthambi, has released a strongly-worded statement in reaction to the testimony by acting head of government communications Phumla Williams.
Williams testified at the commission of inquiry into state capture on Friday and Monday.
The commission, headed by deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo, heard how GCIS became dysfunction during Muthambi’s reign.
Williams also accused Muthambi of wanting to “steal at all costs”.
Muthambi has reacted to the allegation made by Williams, by describing the acting head of the GCIS as a "liar".
"Phumla Williams is one of the most shameful manipulators and liars that I have ever had the displeasure to encouter," Mthambi wrote in a statement.
Mthambi further wrote that Williams undermined the state capture commission by making it about herself.
“I am seeking legal advice on these extremely one-sided evidence laced with half-truths and blatant lies that Ms Williams presented to the commission. A very different truth will emerge, and her lies and reactionary agenda will finally be exposed for all to see.”
