Mystery surrounds death of retired cop
Police have launched a manhunt after a retired crime intelligence officer was found dead near Kempton Park on Wednesday.
The body of the major-general was found in his car near the Winnie Mandela informal settlement.
Provincial police spokesperson, Lungelo Dlamini, says no arrests have been made.
"He was found dead inside the vehicle yesterday. At this stage we don't know what the motive is for the killing. We suspect that he has been strangled."
Dlamini says police are awaiting the post mortem results.
A case of murder is being investigated.
