The 47-year-old underwent two operations after a shooting incident outside Pretoria last month.

He was shot in the chest, abdomen, and arm after armed men stormed his brother's home.

After a couple of days in recovery, Drotske was discharged last week Thursday to recover at his home.

Family spokesperson, Barabra Steenkamp, says Drotske is currently suffering from internal bleeding.

"With the shock to his body, he required blood transfusion. He also suffers from adult respiratory stress syndrome with lung infection and multi organs dysfunction."

Steenkamp says the family is remaining strong.

"Under the circumstances, they are doing okay. It's not - for any family - it's not a good situation. I think they’re being informed and they support him all the time," she added.

The family has asked South Africans to keep Naka in their prayers.
