Ninow under police guard at Weskoppies, police confirm
Nicholas Ninow, who is accused of raping a 7-year old girl at a Dros restaurant, will be under police guard during his 30-day stay at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.
The 20-year-old Ninow briefly appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He is alleged to have raped the girl in the restaurant’s toilets in Silverton on September last year.

During his appearance, the court ruled Ninow should be evaluated at the psychiatric hospital for 30 days to determine if he is fit to stand trial.
He will be assessed by a team of four health professionals, three psychiatrists and one psychologist.
According to Ninow's submissions last year it, he was diagnosed as bipolar in 2013.
Ninow is scheduled to be back on court on February 8.
