The body of the renowned make-up artist was found at her home in Bassonia Estate, south of Johannesburg, on Friday.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said they are investigating after Janeska was found with gunshot wound to the head in her bedroom and a firearm next to her.

Janeska was the president of Business Development at Blazer Investments and social media influencer.

The 39-year-old woman was in a relationship with Kyle Phillips, the co-director of Adriano Mazzotti’s Carnilinx cigarette company and friend to Malema.

Malema dismissed speculations that she might have committed suiccide.

"It came as a shock, that she can kill herself, but you will never know because she never came across to me as the type that had a potential to kill herself. She spoke her mind openly without fear, they loved each other with Kyle.

"There was nothing that suggested that there were insurmountable problems which will warrant killing herself or killing each other. I don't think there was any sign of that, so it was a shock."

"We wish the family strength, it is interesting case because the police have opened an inquest, so that we can get closure, those of us who knew her, were like what happened, and we will need those answer."
