Occupants thrown from bakkie in Centurion
14 people were injured after a truck rear-ended a bakkie on the R21 in Pierre van Ryneveld in Centurion last night.
Paramedic on scene found the bakkie on its roof next to the roof with a number of injured spread out around the vehicle.
"Paramedics assessed the patients and found that fourteen had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate," says ER24's Russel Meiring.
He says they suspect the bakkie rolled after it was rear-ended by the truck, ejecting the passengers off the back of the vehicle.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
