Officials to visit assault video school
The Department of Education in KwaZulu Natal will this morning visit Siyathuthuka Secondary School, after a video emerged showing a school boy beating up a female pupil.
The department's Muzi Mahlambi says officials are on their way to the school to establish what happened.
"The MEC of Education will not be there because of a funeral that she will be attending, but she will go visit the school next week", says Mahlambi.
The Department of Basic Education also released a statement condemning the violence in the video.
