Olievenhoutbosch protesters gather at councillor's house

Tensions are running his as angry Olievenhoutbosch residents are gathering at the local councillor's home in protest over service delivery in the area.
Residents have already handed over their memorandum to government officials in which they complain about crime, poor service delivery and large scale corruption in the awarding of RDP houses.
Earlier, a group of protesters went to RDP houses demanding to see proof of residence.

The residents are accusing the local councillor of selling RDP houses while hundreds of people have been waiting for years.
Police have been deployed to the area to monitor the situation.
The Tactical Response Team is on the scene, with residents blocking the R55.
