O'Sullivan ordered to stay away from Phahlane
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Independent forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan has been released on bail of R10 000 in the Pretoria Magistrates Court.
A summons was handed to him this morning, instructing him to appear on charges of impersonating an Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) officer.
O'Sullivan has been accused of impersonating an IPID officer while the directorate was investigating Acting National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Khomotso Phahlane.
AfriForum's Willie Spies says the purpose was just to serve as a first appearance.
"Pre-agreed conditions were also dealt with going forward," says Spies.
The case has been postponed to 19 May.
Some of O'Sullivan's bail conditions prohibits him from contacting or interfering with witnesses and he has been told not to go near Phahlane's home.
O'Sullivan spoke to the media outside court.
