Outrage after cow butchered alive
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
There's been a nationwide outrage after a cow was butchered while still alive.
The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) says it's horrified by the actions of bystanders following an accident in which a cow was struck by a vehicle.
It happened on the N2 Highway in Breidbach yesterday night.
King Williams Town SPCA's inspector Annette Muller responded to the emergency.
She says bystanders were using an axe to chop the animal up.
Muller says she attempted to intervene in a bid to stop the torturing of the animal.
Chopping off legs and chunks of meat while the cow was still alive, bellowing in agony. Sick. Sick Sick. 😡 https://t.co/EHcu1CeEGv
