Parts of Joburg without electricity

Johannesburg City Power says it is experiencing a major power outage in the South and Central West parts of Johannesburg on Thursday.
City power spokesperson Isaac Mangena says the reason behind the power disruption is still being investigated.
"We've got out technician on site to try and check as to what happened, although the weather is suspected at this point it has not been established as to what the cause of the outage is at the present moment."

Mangena says the areas affected include Nancefield, Eldorado Park, Lenasia, Industria, Paarlshoop, Riverlea, Longdale, Bosmont, Maraisburg and surrounds.
"We've already managed to restore at least 30% of that outage after the technicians started doing the fixing," adds Mangena.
"We are looking forward to ensure that we have restored all by early this afternoon."
