Pastor Steven Anderson to be deported from Botswana
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Controversial US Pastor Steven Anderson is being deported from Botswana after being declared a prohibited person in the country.
The anti-gay pastor make headlines in South Africa last week after Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba
barred him from entering the country.Anderson has been accused of hate speech following remarks against homosexuality and has publicly criticised South African leaders - including Gigaba - for allowing same-sex relations in the country.
After being barred from South Africa and the United Kingdom, Anderson set his sights on Botswana in his "soul-winning marathon" and said he would continue to set up a church in that country.
Botswana has since taken action.
