Penny Sparrow expected in court
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Former south coast estate agent, Penny Sparrow, is expected to appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate's Court this morning.

Sparrow is facing charges of crimen injuria after she posted a photo on Facebook in January this year, describing black beach goers as 'monkeys' in an apparent reaction to litter being left behind after New Year's celebrations earlier this year.
She has since been found guilty of hate speech and ordered to pay R150 000 to the Oliver and Adelaide Tambo Foundation.
Legal expert, Sunil Singh from Sunil Singh and Associates in Durban says there's more than enough evidence in the case.

"She has posted this on social media. The investigation should not take very long to wrap up because it's straightforward as that comment could be produced as evidence. I don't see how she is going to defend that," he said.
