Petrol predicted to go up in December, diesel down
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The Automobile Association (AA) says motorists can expect an increase in the price of petrol price ahead of the December holidays.
The price of diesel is however expected to drop.
The AA's Layton Beard says current projections has 93 octane petrol increasing by seven cents per litre, while 95 octane petrol is set to rise by eleven cents per litre.
Diesel is predicted to decrease by 18 cents while illuminating paraffin looks set for a 21 cents decrease.

"The reason for this is that the rand has remained relatively flat, as it did in October going into November, and the oil prices have shown the same flatness. Because of this there will be increases in certain grades of fuel, unfortunately, those increases are the form of petrol.
"The good is that diesel is not expected to increase going into December and this is good for consumers in that the input costs in the manufacturing and agricultural sector won't increase either.”
