Phala Phala theft: Case postponed for bail judgement
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The case against three suspects accused of stealing money at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm has been postponed to 17 November for bail application judgement.
Imanuwela David, Froliana Joseph and Ndilinasho David Joseph appeared in the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Froliana (31) and her brother David (27) made representations in their bail application indicating that they aim to plead not guilty against the charges of house breaking and theft.
Their lawyer adv. Michael Mokgobu told the court the two are South Africans born in Bela Bela in 1992 and 1996 respectively.
Limpopo NPA spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the case was also postponed for Imanuwela to get legal representation.
The president's farm made headlines last year after former spy boss Arthur Fraser revealed that $580 000 were stolen at the farm in February 2020.
Fraser alleged Ramaphosa attempted to cover up the theft.
