PHOTOS: Chaos in downtown Joburg, JRA services affected

The Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) said they will not be able to provide all their services on Wednesday due to an ongoing illegal strike.
Members of the South African Municipal Workers Union (Samwu) embarked on protest action on Friday.
JRA spokesperson Bertha Peter-Scheepers said talks were underway, while protesters once again took to the streets of the Johannesburg CBD.
"Potholes won't be fixed within the three day turnaround time, traffic lights will be affected. We've got a core team that is targeting the prioritised areas such as the arterial routes through the City of Johannesburg," Peter-Scheepers said.
Peter-Scheepers said management was aware of the grievances raised by Samwu.
"[Management] is in the process of addressing [the issues] through the appropriate internal channels," she said.
Peter-Scheepers says the list of grievances they have include the outcome of the interchange project as well as the non-payment of performance bonuses for the 2014 financial year.
The Johannesburg Metro Police Department said they have deployed officers and would monitor the situation.
JMPD spokesperson Edna Mamonyane said disgruntled workers were burning objects on the corner of Sauer and Bree Streets.
