A News24 reporter, who is at the house, reported that 13 police vehicles were parked outside the residence, two of which were marked.

A police officer called his colleagues saying they were about to start interviewing "the suspect".

O'Sullivan's lawyer arrived at the house.

O'Sullivan came out, dressed in a black suit and white shirt and opened the gate for him.

"Shoo, there's a lot of cars here," O'Sullivan was heard saying.

It was not clear why they were there. SA Police Service spokesperson Solomon Makgale could not be reached for comment.

Police on the scene are refusing to speak to the media.
