New Year's morning saw another fatal shooting at the Mary Fitzgerald Square in Johannesburg, but Lesufi says early indications are that the two incidents are not linked.

With regards to the Melville shooting, he says the number plates of the car used in the drive-by shooting were cloned.

"The number plates does not math the car and it's a car that belongs to someone who was not nearby or was not at the activity," said Lesufi.
