Police make R3.5m drug bust in Limpopo

Limpopo Police have discovered a consignment of cannabis worth R3.5 million in street value in Burgersfort.
The drug bust was made on Friday on the R37 road.
A bakkie was traveling from Lyndenburg to Burgersfort when it was stopped by the police during a roadblock.
"The driver sped off, and police gave chase. Upon realizing that he was being cornered, he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot," said police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba
"Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the vehicle was carrying 13 bails of dagga and 46 plastic of dagga sealed with a compressor, weighing about 711kg."
"The vehicle was also confiscated as part of the investigation," he added
