Police officer injured when van was struck by taxi in Rustenburg
A police officer was injured when a police van fell onto its roof after it had collided with a minibus taxi in Rustenburg on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Fatima Bhayat and Klopper Streets near the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court.
A policewoman was injured in the accident which saw the police van land on top of a bakkie belonging to the Rustenburg municipality after the minibus taxi had hit it on the right-hand side.
Police on horseback were forced to clear onlookers from the scene while other officers moved in to remove police issue shields and firearms from the police vehicle.
