Police officer shot in Buccleuch

A police officer is in a stable condition in Millpark Hospital after he was shot in the chest during a shootout with suspects at the Buccleuch Interchange.
Metro Police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says police were responding to a tracker signal when the shoot-out ensued.
“The officers where following a tracker signal that the two tracks with stolen cellphones worth about R60 million along the N3,” says
Minnaar.
Minaar says two suspects were arrested and the two trucks with cellphones were recovered.
