Police in Pta East warn of new laptop theft technique

There has been an increase in the theft of laptops from parked cars in the east of Pretoria.

According to Brooklyn Police, laptops are being stolen out of parked motor vehicles.
Police spokesperson Collette Weilbach says incidents have been reported in parking areas at shopping centres, schools, hospitals, sports events and gyms in the area.

She believes that the suspects are using a ‘device’ that allows them to locate laptops in parked vehicles.
