Executives of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) say they plan to start restoring stability at the embattled State Owned Enterprise (SOE) by March.
Prasa administrator Bongisizwe Mpondo is part of the delegation that appeared before Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) on Wednesday morning to account for its dire financial state.

In January, Bongisizwe Mpondo announced that there is a 12-month turn around strategy that will be implemented from within the first three months of 2020 to save the cash-strapped entity.
Mpondo says they have divided responsibility for the implementation of the strategy.
"Just to give a sense of how we are integrating ministerial priorities with sub committees, there's five subcommittees and we have integrated those areas so there's a responsibility from these subcommittees to lock into those areas."
He adds that the plan will be rolled out in three phases.
