President Zuma's legal team back in court

President Jacob Zuma's legal team will be back in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria today, to argue why former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's State Capture report should not be released.

This after his case was dealt a serious blow yesterday when the court ruled opposition parties could intervene in the matter and become respondents - opposing Zuma's application.

After a full day of arguments, Judge Dunstan Mlambo read out the finding of the full bench in favour of the DA, EFF, UDM, Cope and firmer ANC MP Vytjie Mentor.

They now have the right to intervene in the case.

The court also scrapped Minister Des van Rooyen's urgent application to interdict the report. The DA's James Selfe is convinced that today's proceedings will also end in their favour.

Members of the EFF took to the streets of Pretoria against State Capturing.

"We are very optimistic and we think that the judges understand the issues that are before the court and that they will make a just and appropriate order," Selfe said.

Proceedings will resume at 10am when the court is expected to hear arguments from the Zuma team, and its amended application to have the report scrapped in its entirety.
