Lamola has provisionally suspended Pretoria Chief
Magistrate Desmond Nair amid claims that he benefitted from Bosasa.
Nair, who was charged with two counts of misconduct in November, was named at the commission of inquiry into state capture.

The justice ministry subsequently carried out a preliminary investigation before deciding to provisionally suspend him.
The Zondo commission last year heard that Nair allegedly accepted the installation of R200 000 worth of security systems at his Pretoria home, including a full electric fence, CCTV and alarm systems.
Spokesperson for the Department of Justice Chrispin Phiri says that minister tabled the report on the suspension to Parliament on Wednesday.
“Minister Lamola has said that judicial offices must be held to the highest standard of scrutiny and the conduct must at all times be beyond reproach and be conduct befitting their office. You would recall that misconduct allegations relate to Mr. Nair allegedly asking or accepting and or receiving special favors and benefits from a company called Bosasa, which may unduly influenced him in the execution of his duties.”
Parliament will pass a resolution on the approval of the provisional suspension.
