Pretoria police officer arrested for allegedly killing girlfriend

A police officer has been arrested on a charge of murder after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend.
The sergeant allegedly shot his girlfriend several times at the police barracks in Pretoria Moot on Sunday.
She died on the scene.
Spokesperson for the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) Sontaga Seisa says the 41-year-old sergeant is due to appear in court for formal bail application.
“The sergeant is alleged to have shot his 35-year-old girlfriend several times in the police barracks of Pretoria Moot. It is alleged that the sergeant accused his girlfriend of having an…affair with his colleague.”
