Updated | By Neo Motloung
The Pretoria Train Station will be closed for 40 days from
Friday, 14 December 2018 till 22 January 2019.

Metrorail's Lillian Mofokeng says this forms part of a programme by the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa’s (Prasa) to modernise the station.
“There are station upgrades through our infrastructure that we are currently doing at Pretoria Station,” says Mofokeng.
She adds the whole train station needs to be occupied during the period to ensure that there are no train movements that may disrupt the infrastructure upgrades.
Mofokeng says alternative transport will be available for commuters travelling from Johannesburg to Pretoria and those commuting in neighbouring townships around Tshwane.
“When they come from Johannesburg, their train will stop at Centurion, and they will find their connecting buses to help them to got to Bosman station.”
