Prominent soccer player nabbed for drunk driving

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has confirmed the arrest of a well-known soccer player for driving under the influence of alcohol at the weekend.
The department's Isaac Mahamba says the soccer player was arrested in Hatfield on Saturday.
"Among the 15 people arrested, one is a 28-year-old former Orlando Pirates player who is currently playing for the national soccer team," says Mahamba.
He says the soccer player cannot be named until he pleads in court.

"As I am talking to you now, he is busy applying for bail and has been detained at a local police station. Once he has been granted bail, he will find out when his first court appearance, we are anticipating that he will appear sometime this week."
