Prominent soccer star released on bail
A prominent soccer star, arrested for clocking 213 km/h on the N1 near Sandton, was released on bail on Monday.
Gauteng Traffic Police’s Obed Sibasa says the soccer star received bail of R1000 and will appear in court in July.
“That is due to Covid-19 regulations on court appearances or proceedings, and further investigations,” said Sibasa.
“As a result, Gauteng Traffic Police and Community Safety cannot publish the name of the suspect until his first court appearance.”
The soccer star was caught driving an Audi A6 at the time of the arrest on Sunday morning.
