Protests erupt at Beitbridge border
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Protests broke out at the Beitbridge border with Zimbabwe on Friday.
Zimbabweans took to the streets to protest government's ban on imports.
Zimbabwean correspondent Zenzele Ndebele has all the details.
Home Affairs spokesperson Mayihlome Tshwete says the protest action is on the Zimbabwean side of the Beitbridge border.
He says it is too early to issue a travel advisory to South Africans wanting to travel to Zimbabwe.
"We know that people are still using the port of entry. The relevant officials are on scene to ensure peace and stability."
