Public order police have been dispatched to the Sandton CBD following last night's violence between metered taxis and Uber drivers.
An Uber and a Taxify vehicle were petrol-bombed on West Street near the Gautrain station.
A third vehicle was also torched nearby. It's believed the vehicle belongs to a metered taxi driver.

Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says members from the K9 unit and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) are also on the scene.
"We are concerned about the safety of the commuters and those that are working in Sandton and other areas that may be affected. Hence why we have increased visibility around the hotspots.
