A ship carrying trucks in the Durban Harbour also had a consignment of cocaine.
The drugs are estimated to be worth R111 million.
The Hawks say tests have confirmed the drug.
Officers made the bust on Saturday after being alerted about a suspicious consignment on the vessel.
The Hawks say they recovered canvas bags containing 265 bricks of cocaine.
They say a preliminary investigation's been conducted, but they've not been able to establish the owner of the shipment.
So far, no arrests have been made.
