"When we speak of radical socio economic transformation, we mean the fundamental change in the structure, systems, institutions and patterns of ownership, management and control of the economy, in favor of all South Africans especially the poor the majority of whom are African and female".

"We have been presenting it in different platforms and it is important that the economy of this country must be shared among all citizens of this country. We cannot say it is all fine when there is extreme poverty and extreme richness, the wealth of this country must look after the citizens of this country", said Zuma.

The President says challenges such as some households not having electricity and piped water supply, must be addressed.

President Zuma has come under fire following last week's cabinet reshuffle.

Zuma defended his decision to appoint Malusi Gigaba as the Minister of Finance citing that Gigaba is a good candidate to advance radical socio economic transformation.
