Rain takes us to Christmas day

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms over the south-eastern parts of Limpopo and the eastern Highveld and escarpment areas of Mpumalanga.
Forecaster Lulama Pheme says cloudy conditions and isolated showers are expected from Tuesday going into the weekend with sunshine expected on Saturday and Sunday.
"In Gauteng, we are expecting partly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers with minimum temperatures from 16 degrees with maximum temperatures of 28 from today until Thursday.
“Temperatures are rising from Friday reaching the peak of 32 degrees.
"In Mpumalanga, minimum temperatures of 18 and maximum of 24 are expected with cloudy conditions and scatted showers and thundershowers expected for the eastern parts of the province, with the highveld part of the province expecting isolated showers and thundershowers with highs of temperature reaching 33 degrees over the weekend."
Phema adds that no other warning has so far been issued for the course of the week.
