Ramaphosa elected new ANC president

Deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa has been elected as the new president of the African National Congress (ANC).

Ramaphosa was locked in a bruising battle with ANC MP Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for the leadership of the party. The winning margin was only around 100 votes.
